On its way to compiling an overall 51-9-7 record the Glenbrook North Varsity team won 2 local tournaments, the Metro North Championship, the Metro Scholastic Cup Championship and ultimately the Blackhawk Cup State Championship.

On May 9th, 2007 the GBN Varsity team was honored on the field before the Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Several of the players sang Take Me Out to the Ball Game during the 7th inning stretch.
